Tilapia is one of my favourite Fish ! I'm always used to eating it deep fried in Oil & Coated with a thin layer of Flour (after marinading it for sometime) , This is how we usually cook Tilapia in Egypt ! And since I'm a very busy mom & I always have no time, So I decided to fry it in Butter with some Salt & Pepper ,without wasting a long time in the marinade . I used a good non-stick pan , as Tilapia is a very fragile fish & choose a nice relatively thick Tilapia cut to use & it was really so delicious, I felt the real fish taste in my mouth , The recipe I used before was perfect, but I liked this way of cooking more as the taste of Fish was not masked by other the flour & frying process .

Sugar Cookies covered with Fondant. الكوكيز المغطاه بالفندان
I made those Cookies for my Daughter's Birthday :) It was a challange for me doing Cookies with Fondant ! That was my first trial & definitely not the last ! I liked a lot how pretty the Cookies looked & I liked the idea of making such colorful & pretty Cookies !
At first I thought that Fondant Cookies were so complicated , but they actually turned to be so easy & you can prepare the Fondant shapes a day ahead of doing your Cookies, just keep it seperated from each other & kepp it in an airtight container !

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. Schokoladen Frosting für Cupcakes.
This is a very nice & easy & delicious Frosting for Cupcakes, My aim doing this Frosting was to decrease the amount of Sugar as much as possible because I don't like the very sugary Frosting !
Thanks to my dear friend Noha who gave me Tips for doing those pretty stars on top of each Cupcake. I was really bad in decorating Cupcakes, So don't lose hope if you make bad Cupcake decoration, all you need is more & more training :)

Egyptian Beef Liver . Ägyptische Rinde Leber.
Egyptian Beef Liver recipe is a very popular Liver recipe all around Egypt. It's called "Alexandrian Liver" , The name is related to the beautiful city of Alexandria in the north of Egypt.
It's sold every where in Egypt, & in many corners in Food Carts , we eat it in Sandwiches with the Egyptian brown bread or in Pita bread, with Tahini Sauce.
It's usually done very spicy, but I prefer it not so spicy because my kids don't bear spicy food :)

Tahini Sauce . Tahini Soße.
Tahini Sauce is a very popular Egyptian (or Oriental ) Sauce, we actually call it in Egypt Tahini "Salad" not "sauce" , it's very easy , done in very few minutes & it's an amazing side dish with all grilled dishes . We also eat it with bread for breakfast or lunch beside other dishes , it's delicious & you can add the spices you want to it & you can control its thickness , by adding more or less water. I personally prefer it a bit liquidy , but some people prefer it thick, Some people add "Hummus" or Yogurt to it. but this is the basic recipe & you create your own recipe out of this basic recipe.

Roasted Chicken with Lemon & Herbs. Geröstete Hähnchen mit Kräuter & Zitronen. الفراخ المشوية في الفرن بالاعشاب والليمون
One of the easy dishes that I like to make a lot is Oven roasted Chicken . It's so easy & can be done when guests are coming over for Dinner , as it's easy, juicy & moist & I guess everybody loves!
2 weeks ago I bought 8 Herbs Pots & I guess I'll be making a lot of recipes using Herbs in the coming days:) (I'll shoot them too & add them some where in my Blog ).
I had some Chicken & I had a very busy day, so I decided to marinade my Chicken with nearly all herbs I bought + My basic Chicken marinade (Onion , Lemon, Salt & Pepper) & I left it in the Fridge in the marinade for 6 hours , then put it in the Oven for 45 minutes & it was the Best chicken ever! so moist & juicy from inside & crispy from the skin outside!!

Easy Cake Pops. Kuchen am Stiel
My kids love Cake pops , but It's usually hard for me doing a cake ,then crumbling it, then adding it to another mixture,then waiting to cool....etc. It was so much work for an -always busy- Mom like me :) So I thought of doing mini cupcakes & sticking them to a Cake pop stick & it's done!
The result was perfect & unfortunately was finished in half a day , my kids gave to friends & neighbours !
Second day, I loved the Idea, so I made my brownies recipes & cup it in small cubes & inserted wooden skewers in them & were just perfct & kids loved them too .

I love Food Photography and many professional food photos I've seen in magazines or books have always a nice wooden background ! I tried searching in amazon & ebay for those wooden blocks but always found them expensive or did not find them at all ! Then I started searching in internet & found an amazing blog for an amazing German lady called Eva & she gave me the best clue ever! She gave me the hint that I wanted ! This was out our dessert for the new year! It was so tasty & delicious.
The cupcakes turned out so pretty that I wanted to shoot them without any additives to the shot! Just the Cupcake alone will make a pretty photo , & I guess it gave me the pretty effect I wanted. just added my cup of Coffee in a pic to add the warm feeling to the picture :))

Green Pea Soup. Erbsensuppe
My Mom once told me, you can use any type of vegetables in making Soups & I remembered her words & I use the basic recipe for Soup & add any vegetable to it (according to the seasonal vegetables) & it works just perfect! I even combine many veggies together & it's never failed!

Cream Chicken-Mushroom Soup is my first Choice for Soup for any guest invitations at home ! It's easy & I love it! I also have it with Bread & Salad sometimes for Lunch, as it's a complete & rich meal .
